THE LAND ROVER TRĕK OFF‑ROAD COMPETITION
TESTING THE OFF-ROAD SKILLS OF LAND ROVER RETAILER EMPLOYEES FOR 25 YEARS, TRĕK RETURNS SEPTEMBER 2021, FEATURING THE DEFENDER
80 TEAMS, 80 DEFENDER MODELS
September 16–26, 2021, 80 teams consisting of Land Rover Retailer employees from across North America will compete in the TRĕK qualifying trials. Testing the courage of competitors and the capability of their customized 2022 Land Rover Defender SUVs, this TRĕK will include off-road driving events, navigation games and team challenges.
OFF‑ROADING AT ONE OF AMERICA’S GRANDEST ESTATES
Located on the grounds of the famed Biltmore Estate, the Land Rover TRĕK Regional Trials make extensive use of the estate’s 8,000 acres, covering a wide range of terrain, including mud and ruts, water crossings and rock crawls.
A STORIED COMPETITION
Originally established in 1996 and modeled after the legendary Camel Trophy, this competition is designed to challenge and educate Land Rover Retailer employees from the U.S. and Canada.
CAPABLE OF GREAT THINGS
This year, teams will drive the new 2022 Defender 110 SE P300, equipped with 18” Steel Wheels, Off-Road Pack, Towing Pack and a range of accessories to aid them in the competition. The most capable Land Rover vehicle ever produced, the Defender is up to any challenge.
Teams will drive customized Defender models that come with specially modified accessories. A bespoke TRĕK emblem adds flourish to the vehicle. The Expedition Roof Rack allows competitors to carry a high-lift jack, two TRED Pro Recovery boards, a shovel and other vital tools. If that’s not enough, the Remote Control Electric Winch is ready to take teams out of tough spots. All the gear needed for any off-road challenge is at competitors’ fingertips—how they use it will determine which teams rise above the rest.
No stranger to the TRĕK event, the Land Rover Defender was tested to its limits in January 2020 as finalists competed for victory in Palm Springs. The event was a testament to the tenacity and resilience of every Land Rover Retailer involved.
