TRĕK OFF-ROAD COMPETITION

91 teams of Retailer employees from across North America gathered at XOverland Ranch in Three Forks, MT, to compete in the 2025 TReK competition. Embracing the true spirit of exploration, the competition celebrated those who came before us – pioneers who faced rough terrain, challenged the impossible and discovered new horizons. Carrying that spirit forward, each challenge was designed to spark a sense of adventure, test limits and push competitors beyond the familiar.

Built for epic expeditions, the 2025 Defender 110 TRĕK edition featured a self-healing matte protective wrap and was outfitted with off-road equipment including an expedition roof rack, rear ladder, front bumper undershield and more to aid competitors during the competition. Made with the most extreme explorers in mind, the Defender’s capability allows you to reach unchartered terrain while embracing the impossible.

This year's off-road adventure competition was set in the Santa Lucia Mountain range surrounding Quail Lodge & Golf Club in Carmel, California. Teams of Defender retail staff went head-to-head in customized Defender 110 vehicles, showcasing their skills across demanding terrain and a series of challenges. The winning team of the TRĕK 2024 Finals was revealed at Destination Defender.

Built for epic expeditions, the Defender 110 TRĕK edition features a bespoke 3M Pearl White wrap, 18-inch Steel Wheels, and exclusive TRĕK badging. Each special-edition vehicle is outfitted with custom off-road equipment, including an expedition roof rack, rear ladder, side-mounted gear carrier, front bumper undershield, 4-Pod Roof Light Kit, and more.

This year’s competition was held in Hidden Falls Adventure Park in Marble Falls, Texas, featuring 109 teams of Land Rover Retailer employees from across the U.S. and Canada. Each team faced head-to-head and team challenges in identically customized 2023 Land Rover Defender 130 vehicles. The top 10 teams from each wave of the competition will return for the TRĕK 2023 Finals, where the overall winner will be crowned at Destination Defender.

Based on the new eight-seat 2023 Defender 130 P400 SE, this year's Defender TRĕK vehicles feature a bespoke matte black wrap with the TRĕK logo in Carbon Black on the doors and custom TRĕK interior and exterior badging. All-terrain equipment includes off-road tires, Remote Control Electric Winch, new LED lighting, a Hitch-Mounted Hi-Lift jack, a suspension lift, roof-mounted Tread Pro traction boards and more.

100 teams of Retailer employees from across North America will gather in Manchester, Vermont, to compete in the 2022 TReK regional trials. Inspired by the original Camel Trophy competition, TReK tests some of the best experts across the U.S. and Canada as they put their abilities to the test in off-road driving, navigation and team collaboration behind the wheel of a custom Defender vehicle.

The Defender 110 TReK vehicle continues the Defender legacy of overcoming the unpaved pathway. Each vehicle is customized with accessories such as Electric Winch²⁵, Roof Mounted Tent, Roof Mounted Awning, Side-Mounted Water Storage System, Solar Panel and Auxiliary Battery, plus additional features all created to take on some of the toughest demands.
