53 TEAMS, 53 DISCOVERY SUVS
In September 2019, 53 teams competed in 53 identical 2020 Land Rover Discovery SUVs in the Land Rover TReK Regional Trial. Testing the mettle of both competitors and vehicles, this TReK included off-road driving events, navigation games and team challenges.
OFF‑ROAD AT ONE OF AMERICA’S GRANDEST ESTATES
Located on the grounds of the famed Biltmore Estate, the Land Rover TReK Regional Trials made extensive use of the estate’s 8,000 acres, covering a wide range of terrains, including mud and ruts, water crossings and rock crawls.
A STORIED COMPETITION
Originally established in 1996 and modeled after the legendary Camel Trophy, this competition is designed to challenge and educate Land Rover Retailer employees from the U.S. and Canada.
RETURN OF THE DEFENDER
The reintroduction of the TReK competition was timed ahead of the return of the Defender family to the Land Rover brand. The previous generation model of the Defender ceased global production in 2016 and has been absent from the U.S. market for more than 20 years, last being offered for the 1997 model year.
