NEW LAND ROVER DEFENDER NAMED 2021 BEST MIDSIZE UTILITY VEHICLE BY MOTORWEEK
(MAHWAH, N.J.) – February 10, 2021 – Land Rover announced today that the new Land Rover Defender has been named “Best Midsize Utility Vehicle” by MotorWeek for their 2021 Drivers’ Choice Awards.
The 2021 Drivers’ Choice Award winners are featured on Motorweek.org, and will appear on a special episode of MotorWeek (#4023) airing on public television stations beginning February 13 and on cable’s MotorTrend Network beginning February 23.
“The British Empire legend returns in the new Defender, but with a fully modern and stylish reboot that includes all-terrain capabilities that are far above its predecessor. Where the fun ends with most utilities is right where this Defender hits its stride,” said MotorWeek Host and Creator, John Davis.
The MotorWeek editorial staff evaluates more than 150 cars, trucks and sport utility vehicles every year. Winners are chosen based on driving performance, technology, practicality, fuel efficiency and value for the dollar.
The full slate of awards announced by MotorWeek, now in its 40th season as TV’s and digital media’s original automotive magazine series, reflects the enthusiasm Americans continue to have for cars, even throughout a pandemic. While COVID-19 changed the way consumers shop in general, the car industry rose to the occasion—and so did consumers.
With a nod to the historic Land Rover Defender, the new Defender is the toughest and most capable Land Rover vehicle yet, combining a new body structure with all-new technologies and legendary engineering to create a Defender fit for the 21st century.
The 2021 Land Rover Defender 110 is on sale now in the U.S. and is priced from $50,100*; the Defender 90 body style will be available early this year and will be priced from $46,100*. Configure your new Defender today.
