The vehicle’s exterior design is a revolutionary reimagining of the Discovery for the next generation and introduces a new level of refinement as demonstrated by its beautifully crafted and sculpted surfaces.
PREMIUM CRAFTED DETAILS
Exquisite wood veneers, metal finishes, premium leathers and thoughtful design touches abound to create an interior environment that is supremely comfortable and luxurious. Yet with 21 storage compartments and available third-row seating, it’s also exceedingly functional.
PANORAMIC ROOF
The optional sliding electric or fixed panoramic roof enhances the sense of space in the vehicle’s interior and floods it with natural light, including the available third-row seats. Importantly, the toughened glass has a dark tint to maintain a comfortable temperature inside the cabin. Powered interior blinds are also provided for additional privacy or shade.
THE NEW DISCOVERY LANDMARK EDITION
A beautifully realized addition to the Discovery family. The Discovery Landmark Edition includes 20" 5 split-spoke 'Style 5011' wheels with Gloss Black finish and the Dynamic Exterior Design Pack as standard. This edition also features a unique aluminum trim finisher on both the door and instrument panel.

INTELLIGENT SEATING
With available seating for up to seven, the cabin space is also remarkably flexible. Depending on whether you need more legroom or luggage room, the second-row seating slides forward and backward over 6 inches. The optional Intelligent Seat Fold feature allows you to raise and lower the second- and third-row seating remotely via your smartphone. Folding the second and third rows down provides up to 83.7 cubic feet of storage capacity.

DRIVING SYSTEMS
The Discovery uses safety and driver assistance technologies including Electronic Traction Control (ETC), which helps optimize traction and Electronic Brake-force Distribution by automatically varying the braking force to each axle.

EMERGENCY BRAKE ASSIST
Emergency Brake Assist understands when you apply the brakes quickly but without the necessary force to maximize stopping performance. It therefore boosts the brake pressure through the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) pump to ensure full brake force is applied.

With a state-of-the-art aluminum unibody, the Discovery is up to 1,000 lbs lighter than the LR4. Utilizing the latest in materials and build technologies, the vehicle can readily take the heavy-duty usage associated with off-road driving.
TRANSMISSION
All engines are paired with the advanced electronically controlled ZF® 8-speed Automatic Transmission. Tuned by Land Rover engineers to combine silky-smooth shifting with exceptionally rapid response — gear changes are almost imperceptible, with each shift completed in just 200 milliseconds.
CAPABILITY
HILL DESCENT CONTROL (HDC®)
By helping to maintain a constant speed and applying braking separately to each wheel, Hill Descent Control (HDC) is designed to assist the driver when negotiating those difficult slopes.1
ADVANCED TOW ASSIST
Optional Advanced Tow Assist allows you to control the direction of your trailer and your vehicle when reversing by using the rotary Terrain Response® 2 controller. When a tow hitch is fitted, the system will then control the vehicle's steering to achieve the desired trailer trajectory, which is displayed with the current trajectory on the infotainment touchscreen.1
