MERIDIANTM DIGITAL SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM
Land Rover has partnered with Meridian, a world leader in high-performance audio technologies and digital sound processing, to develop advanced sound systems for the Discovery Sport. The optional 825W Meridian Digital Surround Sound System includes 16 speakers and a dual-channel subwoofer, delivering crystal clear highs and rich, deep bass notes throughout the cabin. You hear your music just how you want to.
LAND ROVER INCONTROL® APPSTM
Available Land Rover InControl Apps enables you to use a variety of vehicle-optimized smartphone apps on your touchscreen by connecting your device to the USB port. InControl Apps features an ever-expanding range of services. These help you plan your journey, organize your day and meetings, book a hotel and discover the world around you.16
LAND ROVER INCONTROL® REMOTE & PROTECTTM
Check your fuel levels remotely, start your vehicle to cool or pre-heat the interior, find your vehicle in a busy parking lot and even check that you haven’t left a window open — all through a handy smartphone app. In the event of needing vehicle assistance, Optimized Land Rover Assistance transmits location and vehicle diagnostic data to the Roadside Assistance Provider. In a more serious incident, SOS Emergency Call notifies the emergency call center to notify the appropriate authorities for your situation.
LAND ROVER INCONTROL® TOUCH™ AND INCONTROL® TOUCH PRO™
Land Rover InControl is our suite of advanced technologies that links both you and your Discovery Sport to the wider world. InControl Touch and the optional upgrade to new InControl Touch Pro are further enhanced by the remote control features included with InControl Remote & Protect™16.
Delivering a sportier, more economical performance, the 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder Si4 gas engine has either a 237 hp or 286 hp output to provide maximum efficiency, performance and fuel economy through a Continuously Variable Valve Lift system in combination with variable cam timing.
Constructed from aluminum and lightweight steel, the suspension struts’ advanced hydraulic rebound technology reduces noise entering the cabin after impact. The system also ensures undulating surfaces are almost smoothed out and there’s no kickback on your arms or the vehicle’s chassis.
Adaptive Dynamics with advanced MagneRide™ monitors vehicle movements at least 1,000 times per second. Both on- and off-road, driver and road inputs are analyzed instantly to give a feeling of greater control, minimized body roll and a balanced, controlled ride. It even senses off-road conditions and optimizes damping accordingly.1
TORQUE VECTORING BY BRAKING
The Torque Vectoring by Braking system is designed to enhance agility and stability when cornering. The system constantly balances the distribution of torque between all four wheels, whether on- or off-road, to improve grip and inspire confident steering.1
This standard feature when activated prioritizes the most efficient vehicle settings including auto transmission, Active Driveline and comfort features like heating and air conditioning in order to minimize fuel consumption and emissions.
9-SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
The lightweight, compact 9-speed automatic transmission provides optimum fuel economy, as well as greater control in low-grip conditions or when towing through the specially designed, ultra-low first gear.

Terrain Response® takes capability to new heights. It is designed to optimize the vehicle’s engine, transmission, differentials and chassis systems to improve drivability, comfort and traction on various terrains. Just select the mode that suits the conditions: General Driving, Grass/Gravel/Snow, Mud/Ruts and Sand. The vehicle always focuses on a confident, assured drive.1
GRADIENT RELEASE CONTROL
Similar to Hill Start Assist, this system is designed to prevent the vehicle accelerating too quickly. If the vehicle stops and starts on an incline, the system is designed to hold the brake before gradually disengaging as you pull away.1
ALL-TERRAIN PROGRESS CONTROL
Functioning at very low speeds, between 1.1 and 18.6 mph, All-Terrain Progress Control (ATPC) helps the driver maintain a steady speed in challenging conditions so you can concentrate on steering and finding your way through obstacles. It also allows you to pull away smoothly and evenly, even on low-friction surfaces such as ice, snow or wet grass.1
Optional on the 286 hp Si4 engine (standard on 237 hp SD4 engines), this system can prove invaluable both on- and off‑road. In many on-road situations, it can disconnect the drive to the rear wheels, thereby improving fuel economy. If the surface changes or you accelerate hard, it imperceptibly and seamlessly reconnects All-Wheel Drive within 300 milliseconds. A dedicated display on the touchscreen ensures you always feel in control.
HILL DESCENT CONTROL
The patented Hill Descent Control (HDC®) is a standard feature on all models. HDC assists the driver with controlled descents of difficult slopes by maintaining a constant speed and applying braking separately to each wheel. The system works automatically to slow the vehicle and maintain the speed relative to the selected gear range and accelerator pedal position.1

LANE KEEP ASSIST AND DRIVER CONDITION MONITOR
If you are drifting out of your lane, Lane Keep Assist applies corrective torque to the steering wheel, encouraging you to guide your Discovery Sport back. Driver Condition Monitor warns you to take a break if it detects you are starting to feel drowsy.
ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL AND QUEUE ASSIST
Whether you’re cruising on the highway or traveling in slow-moving traffic, this system will help keep your vehicle a safe distance from the one in front should it slow or stop. Once the traffic moves, simply touch the accelerator and Adaptive Cruise Control will resume following the car in front. The system operates from 10 mph up to highway speeds.
AUTONOMOUS EMERGENCY BRAKING
The available Autonomous Emergency Braking system utilizes a forward-facing camera to watch for a potential collision. If one is detected, the vehicle gives an audible forward collision warning. Visual warnings in the instrument cluster are also displayed. If a collision is still anticipated and the driver takes no action, the system is designed to then apply the brakes to help reduce the severity of the possible impact.1
BLIND SPOT MONITOR
Available Blind Spot Monitor alerts you of vehicles in your blind spot via an icon displayed in the door mirrors. Building on the benefits of blind spot monitoring, the Closing Vehicle Sensing system uses radar sensors to alert the driver to the presence of vehicles approaching fast from behind when changing lanes by displaying a flashing icon in the corner of the side mirrors.1
Optional Park Assist makes parallel and perpendicular parking in tight spaces easier than ever. Simply select the appropriate gear and control your speed with the brake and accelerator pedals. This system will also guide you out of a space, making maneuvers easier. Graphics and notifications aid your progress.1
SURROUND CAMERA SYSTEM
Providing a 360° view around the vehicle, this optional system’s cameras help with various maneuvers — from parking by a curb and getting in and out of a space, to towing. You can also zoom and pan to see objects that may be below your line of sight so you can drive accordingly.1 The relevant information appears on the touchscreen.
COMFORT AND CONVENIENCE
HEATED AND COOLED FRONT SEATS
Summer or winter, heated and cooled front seats ensure everyone enjoys their chosen temperature. Conditioned air circulates via a fan through ducts in the seat cushion, warming or cooling the surface. Each seat can be individually adjusted.
Presenting key vehicle data, such as your speed, gear position and navigation directions, on the windshield, this feature can be turned on and off as desired. The option is available as part of the Head-Up Display and Park Assist Package.

This system features an air sensor that monitors humidity, smog levels and extremes in weather; vents positioned throughout the vehicle enable you to adapt the interior temperature accordingly. Wherever your passengers sit, they can always feel comfortable.
Streamline your life with the HomeLink® system. This universal transmitter can be programmed to operate three home or office wireless controlled systems such as garage doors, gates or lighting. Lost remotes are no longer an issue.
