The 2010 LR2

SAFETY & SECURITY

Overview

The LR2 is packed with the latest primary safety systems and technology. Its extensive primary safety features – not least its responsive handling, ABS brakes, Electronic Traction Control and intelligent 4x4 system – help you avoid hazards. And the higher perspective of the Land Rover Command Driving Position gives you the advantage of spotting hazards well ahead of time.

A long list of primary safety features includes:

  • Anti-lock Braking System
  • Electronic Traction Control
  • Dynamic Stability Control
  • Roll Stability Control
  • Comprehensive seven airbag system
  • Remote control central locking on all doors
  • Perimetric and volumetric (where available) alarm systems

Secondary safety features include:

  • Immensely strong monocoque body and inner safety cell
  • Inner safety cell protected by front and rear crumple zones, designed to absorb energy during impact
  • Side-impact protection is further assisted by the ultra-high-strength steel door beams, strong and deep door sills, and raised seat position
  • Strong facia cross-rails help minimize the risk of the front screen pillars spreading during impact
  • Roll Stability Control (RSC) system reacts quickly to help keep you on the road
