Maria Sharapova unveiled the all-new Land Rover LR2 during a private reception held at Babylon at the Kensington Roof Gardens in London.  U.S. and U.K. automotive and U.K. lifestyle journalists and key Land Rover personnel were in attendance.

Land Rover announced a multi-year relationship with one of the world's most talented female athletes and Wimbledon Champion – Maria Sharapova, at the New York Auto Show on April 11, 2006.  Maria and Land Rover are a perfect match, sharing a great spirit of adventure.  The relationship includes her use of Land Rover vehicles, and her participation in retail promotions and events.  Her global personality and strong performance in international tennis is a perfect match for Land Rover, a brand that offers a modern line-up of powerful and award-winning SUVs.

The LR2 is arriving in the U.S. spring 2007.
