- The 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE and 2015 Range Rover honored as ‘2015 Most Popular’ on Edmunds.com
- Jaguar F-TYPE named 2015 Most Popular Premium Sports Car
- 2015 Range Rover named 2015 Most Popular Premium Luxury SUV
Jaguar Land Rover North America today announced that both brands have been honored as ‘2015 Most Popular’ on Edmunds.com. The Jaguar F-TYPE has been named a 2015 Most Popular Premium Sports Car and the 2015 Range Rover a 2015 Most Popular Premium Luxury SUV.
"The well-established Jaguar and Land Rover brands have a lot of appeal to those shopping in the premium luxury segments on our site," said Edmunds.com CEO Avi Steinlauf. "These awards reflect significant interest in some very compelling new vehicles."
The Jaguar F-TYPE represents a return to the company's heart: a two-seat sports car focused on performance, agility and driver involvement. The F-TYPE continues a bloodline that stretches back more than 75 years and encompasses some of the most beautiful, thrilling and desirable sports cars ever built. The Jaguar F-TYPE combines low vehicle weight (starting at 3,477 pounds), high power and superb aerodynamics to achieve a pure sports car experience, yet with Jaguar elegance and luxury.
The fourth-generation Range Rover debuted in 2013 as the world’s first luxury SUV with aluminum unibody construction for significantly improved strength, agility and improved fuel efficiency. The roomiest (especially in long-wheelbase form) and most luxurious Range Rover vehicle ever, the 2015 model still retains the true dual-purpose spirit of the original, combining
impeccable British craftsmanship and serene on-road comfort with the brand’s renowned all-terrain capability. With recent additions of ultra-luxury variants, the Range Rover retains its position as the world’s luxury SUV of choice.
The 2015 Most Popular on Edmunds.com Award winners were finalized by identifying the three new models in each vehicle segment with the highest total car-shopper consideration from January 2014 through October 2014. “Consideration” means for each new vehicle model the number of unique visitors to the new car research and inventory pages on Edmunds.com’s desktop site for that model.
