BLUE RIDGE TO BLUEGRASS
This weeklong experience took place at America's largest home, the exquisite Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. Guests explored some of Biltmore’s 8,000 acres before dining in the estate’s private wine cellar. After seeing the Smoky Mountains as few ever will, the adventure continued on spectacular parkways toward an evening at Blackberry Farm, named Bon Appetite's “#1 Hotel for Food Lovers” in 2013.
After arriving in Lexington, guests shifted gears for the weekend’s activities at the Rolex Three-Day Horse Event. Guests took in the dressage and jumping competitions and learned the intricacies of eventing on a course walk with David O'Connor.
Guests explored off-road routes including the Imogene Trail toward Ouray. The trek continued along spectacular trails through mining ghost towns before departing on the "Million Dollar Highway." The legendary Black Bear Pass then ushered drivers to Telluride Ski Mountain. Accommodations included the Lumiere and the historic Beaumont Hotel. After the Adventure, those who chose to stay in Telluride on their own enjoyed a parting gift from Land Rover VIP credentials to some of the best that the Telluride Film Festival had to offer.
Guests arrived at the Grand Junction airport in Colorado and were transported to Moab where they stayed at the Sorrel River Ranch. Adventurers were challenged with beautiful natural formations and guided with expert instruction. Land Rover Driving Instructors taught guests how to conquer Poison Spider Mesa and near-40-degree slopes of Entrada sandstone at the ultimate “slick rock trail,” Hell's Revenge.

Land Rover Experience Manager: 28 years
No one knows what a Land Rover can do better than Bob Burns. A 28-year veteran of the brand, Bob has helped launch every Land Rover model since 1987. He’s set the bar for four-wheel-drive vehicle training and demonstration...led press events through the rainforests of Belize and Guatemala...and, along with Tom Collins, led the first off-road crossing of the Continental Divide in Range Rover vehicles.
Land Rover Experience Driving Instructor: 27 years
Off-road driving legend and Madagascar Camel Trophy runner-up, Tom Collins personifies all things Land Rover. Known for his toughness and spirit of adventure, Tom was one of the original Land Rover Driving Instructors to cross the Continental Divide in 1989, helping to chart the off-road course then and now again 25 years later for our recreation of that historic feat.
Land Rover Experience Driving Instructor: 19 years
Energetic. Knowledgeable. A force to be reckoned with. Daphne Greene is all of these, and more. She joined Land Rover’s driving instructor team after completing the grueling 1,000-mile Camel Trophy ’95 trek through the hot and humid rainforests of Belize, Honduras and Guatemala. Unscathed! Daphne brings an invaluable depth of knowledge and passion for off-roading to the team, and thankfully, a woman’s sensibility.
